This position will manage and lead individual and multi-disciplined projects while overseeing a team of project managers. You are directly accountable for the team’s ability to meet projected delivery dates and to stay within budget on all projects and solutions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and assist in development of projects and programs that will establish quality objectives.

• Manage teams through all phases of cycle development, including analysis, project design and development, testing periods, and final delivery.

• Oversee a department and team of project managers, including budget management, scheduling and risk analysis.

• Interface directly with managers, employees, vendors and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area of study.

• 7+ years of project management experience.

• PMP certification (Nice to have)

• 3+ years in a senior management capacity

• Experience in planning projects with large data sets and making decisions for data-driven analytics.

• Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate ideas.

• Proven leadership skills.

• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.

The IT Business Analyst to help the business in implementing technology solutions by determining the requirements of the projects and/or programs, communicating them clearly across all stakeholders and partners, and in providing support throughout the System Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities:

Clearly communicates these user stories and business requirements document to all stakeholders, facilitators, and partners and provides support all throughout the System Development Life Cycle. 

Business Requirements Analysis

  • Liaise with relevant users on the scope & requirements that can be grouped into features for ballpark estimation during the Demand Categorization Process
  • Lead requirement gathering analysis process and engage with business users, solution architects, and delivery team to document, review and edit business requirements (BRS) for IT Solutions.
  • Prioritize and maintain the “Requirements Clarification Log” and “Traceability Matrix” for complex projects.
  • Liaise with relevant users on the UAT plans and test case preparation.
  • Conduct system test results verification, and sampling review prior to releasing the system for UAT
  • Act as the IT coordinator to lead the users in the execution of user acceptance tests and deployment/implementation activities
  • Facilitate the communication between IT, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure all have a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
  • Provide support and coordination between IT, vendor or supplier and business representatives throughout the system development life cycle

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with all governance activities during business requirements, QA, and Post Implementation stages

Service Reliability

  • Facilitate post-implementation verification testing to ensure that changes or new systems are implemented to production per requirements
  • Collate feedback on system bugs and performance issues and submit them to IT for resolution
  • Monitor implemented systems and identify areas for improvement

Change and Issues Management

  • Effective management of change requests and issues raised during the project build to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed quality standards


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as Business Analyst
  • Relevant experience in life/health insurance (Policy Administration and/or Claims)
  • Experience developing procedural documentation and presentations.
