Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will:
- Act as an Agile Coach and advocate of agile values and culture in the project teams and in the organization
- Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies and meetings to monitor project progress
- Facilitate daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and the iteration retrospective
- Manage the engineering development projects and facilitates sprint releases
- Create or analyze business requirements documents and project timelines
- Guide the team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates
- Drive team iteration execution, communicate with management and stakeholders, and protect the team from the uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
- Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance
- Work with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks
- Create post mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
- Lead the team towards relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program
- Maintain team data in project management software (i.e. JIRA, Manuscript, etc.) to support estimates and execution
- Present high-level project readouts for senior management
- Support product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope
- Conduct project performance reviews of team members
- Other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / Computing / Business or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 yrs experience in Information Technology (IT) Industry as a Software Developer, Quality Analyst, Business Analyst, or PMO
- Preferred to have at least 1 year of Project Manager experience
- Preferred to have Project Management training
- Minimum of 3 yrs experience as a Scrum Master or similar role
- Demonstrable expertise in agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Expert coach on implementation of agile scrum
- Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
- Strong understanding of Project Management SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams’ needs
- Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
- Passionate commitment to delivering products on time
- Comfortable with presenting project readouts to the Executive level audience
- Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
- Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
- Excellent communicator in person, over virtual mediums, and through email
- Proven experience in leadership and people management
- SAFe Scrum Master certification (SSM) preferred
- Professional Scrum Master certification (PSM) preferred
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Regular Day shift
Work Setup: Hybrid
