Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will:
- Support the business and Development team with the ongoing development of the corporate strategy and business unit strategies
- Identify and analyse corporate and business unit related strategic initiatives, including M&A transactions, including performing analysis in areas such as commodities, financial performance, markets and competitors
- Develop presentations, financial models and board papers to present strategic logic and recommended pathways for major initiatives
- Project manage key workstreams for strategic initiatives and M&A transactions
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance or equivalent, likely undergraduate only. Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science or equivalent also highly regarded
- Experience (c. 3years) in or working with large, global businesses with complex/diverse portfolios and operations. Experience from a recognized strategy consulting firm or investment bank would be considered highly advantageous
- Experience in corporate and business strategy development. Experience identifying, assessing and managing M&A transactions also highly advantageous
- Proven structured problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced MS Excel based financial modelling capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to senior key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement
