The Engineering Head is responsible for leading all engineering-related activities within the organization, including construction, renovation, repair, maintenance, systems implementation, and compliance. This role ensures that all infrastructure projects are executed with excellence, meeting budget, quality, and time commitments, while also establishing strong systems for maintenance, tracking, and performance reporting. The role requires collaboration with Operations, third-party contractors, and senior leadership to support business continuity and growth.
Key Responsibility:
You will:
- Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of all construction and renovation initiatives across the company.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within agreed-upon quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Conduct project risk assessments and provide mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Operations and third-party contractors to execute repairs and preventive maintenance aligned with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop maintenance protocols to prevent facility downtime or disruption to operations.
- Conduct site inspections and facility evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for asset tracking, work order management, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Monitor and track engineering tickets, service requests, and team responsiveness.
- Prepare and submit monthly project and maintenance updates, including engineering expense reports and performance metrics.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering accountability and professional development.
- Build a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments to support cross-functional alignment.
Qualification:
- Graduate of any Engineering course, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Engineer (PRC) preferred but not required.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in engineering, project management, facilities, and construction—ideally in the restaurant, hospitality, or F&B industries.
- Currently at a Senior Manager level, handling engineering teams with a minimum of 5 direct reports.
- Proven leadership in handling large-scale, multi-site construction and maintenance projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in using CMMS platforms, AutoCAD, project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana), and Microsoft Office Suite.
