You will assist in all costs related works for projects from the initial design stage to final accounts stage, minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money while achieving the required standards and quality.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

You will:

 

  • Measure and take off quantities for Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection work elements
  • Interpret architectural or engineering drawings and specifications to prepare project costs
  • Attend onsite and consultants’ meetings and liaise with clients, architects and associate consultants in the administration of projects
  • Assist in the preparation of various main building contracts, piling contracts and nominated sub-contracts for tender and contract formalization
  • Assist in the administration of pre and post contract and consultancy work
  • Assist in the preparation of cost plan and budget studies
  • Assist in the assessment of variation costs, prepare interim valuations for contractor’s progress claim
  • Assist in the compilation of contract documents for execution
  • Understand and adhere to the statutory building regulations
  • Maintain awareness of different building contracts in current use
  • Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior.
  • Shall perform other duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Sanitary Engineering.
  • With or without relevant work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of construction laws and regulations
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

The BMS Engineer position overseas the execution of the day to day technical requirements for the Building Management System (BMS) to support the Workplace team and our vendor partners, ensuring compliance to SOPs and SLAs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will:

  • Manage the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Identify potential system software and hardware issues that may lead to unnecessary failure of services, thereby minimizing risk, disruption and inconvenience to building users.
  • Escalate technical issues where required.
  • Develop and implement innovative programmes and processes that reduce the utility costs, increase productivity and increase the savings.
  • Strive for Continuous Improvement implementation.
  • Assist with the preparations of strategic plans, budgets, and client reports, including financial reconciliation or service contract accounts in focus to BMS.
  • Implement and manage the change control process.
  • Comply with all requirements of the Client contract and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the Client, as reflected by Client feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with Clients and vendors at the ground level to create customer delight.
  • Lead and direct the BMS operators and vendor maintenance team in the planned and preventive maintenance of the BMS system.
  • Participate in regular audits on process to ensure the procedures are being followed and adhered with by the FM staff.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/ Business Continuity and Emergency Procedures are maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Holder of Higher Cert/Higher Diploma/Degree or above in Building, Electronics, Computer, Electrical or Facilities Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BMS Engineer.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation System which includes Lighting Control, Autoshade control, HVAC operation, FDAS, Fire Suppression System, Water Leak Detection system, IAQ sensors and Wellness Display Graphics.
  • Strong PC literacy and able to manage daily activities using various systems, such as BMS, and other computerized control/monitoring system
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of people

  • Holder of a Higher Certificate/Higher Diploma/Degree or above in Building, Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management with a minimum of 3 years experience in a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection Systems, Electrical systems, and BMS systems.
  • Experience in CRAC, UPS, Chiller plant, or Data Centre operations is required.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements.
  • Strong PC literacy and ability to manage daily activities using various systems, such as BMS, and other computerized control/monitoring systems.
