Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will: 

• Participate in the formulation and implementation of legal strategy; analyze and assess legal risks; provide advice on legal matters; and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the organization's interests and minimize legal risks.
• Work closely with In-house and external legal counsels, in formulating defense strategies, and representing the organization in court proceedings when necessary.
• Ensure that the organization operates within legal boundaries by monitoring and enforcing compliance programs and policies.
• Stay up to date with laws and regulations; conduct extensive legal research to provide accurate and timely advice to internal stakeholders, guiding them on legal implications related to business decisions.
• Support in the management of legal risks that the organization may face. This includes identifying potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate those risks, and implementing compliance programs.
• Manage and oversee the performance of his subordinates. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Perform notarial services over company documents.
• Support the Data Protection Officer and Chief Risk Information Officer
• Provide support to the Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

• You must be a graduate of Law (Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor) 
• You must have at least 5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in a corporate or in-house setting
• You must have strong business and financial skills, project management, process improvement, change management, and budget management.
• You must have excellent communication skills.
• Advantage if with certification in data privacy and information security or risk management. 

Work Schedule: Regular shift (8am – 5pm) 

Work Setup: Onsite, BGC Taguig City
