As the Business Development Manager for NCR and Luzon, you will be responsible for accelerating sustainable business growth by developing winning customer strategies, driving commercial excellence, and delivering outstanding retail execution across your assigned territories.

You will own the business with key retail partners by translating consumer, shopper, and market insights into growth opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and influencing in-store execution that drives sell-out performance. You will work cross-functionally to optimize sales, profitability, and market share while ensuring the company is consistently represented with excellence across all physical touchpoints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

Commercial Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute regional commercial strategies that grow sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities including door expansion, format development, assortment optimization, and strategic partnerships.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behavior, category developments, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and anticipate risks.
  • Build strong shopper and category insights to recommend strategies that improve business performance and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
  • Activate key business drivers by understanding which in-store levers will have the greatest commercial impact in terms of distribution, visibility, assortment, pricing, promotion, merchandising and beauty advisor excellence
  • Drive turnover and profit optimization by proactively monitoring business performance against targets and implementing recovery actions where necessary.

Commercial Performance & Sales Management 

  • Own sales performance by consistently tracking sell-out against KPIs, targets, and latest estimates.
  • Lead regular business reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend actionable recovery plans.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, market developments, and competitor performance to generate commercial insights that drive decision-making.
  • Focus on improving sell-out through effective commercial programs, retail execution, and customer activation.
  • Ensure incentive programs and commercial initiatives remain aligned with business objectives and desired behaviors.

Key Account Management & Customer Development

  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with Watsons, key accounts, leasing partners, and other retail customers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business, growth priorities, and shopper profile.
  • Build compelling customer selling propositions supported by consumer, category, and commercial insights.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customers to unlock mutual growth opportunities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations by establishing clear priorities, identifying win-win solutions, and maximizing both revenue and profitability.
  • Influence assortment, merchandising, promotional support, and retail visibility to strengthen company’s presence across all customers.

Retail Execution & Operations Excellence

  • Drive flawless execution across all stores by ensuring excellence in availability, visibility, activation, and beauty advisor execution.
  • Monitor in-store execution standards including merchandising, planogram compliance, promotional readiness, tester availability, pricing, and customer experience.
  • Ensure the right staffing model, BA deployment, productivity, and coverage plans are implemented across all stores.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to maintain healthy inventory levels, maximize on-shelf availability, and minimize stock-outs. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Operations, Demand Planning, Finance, and Logistics to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory health, and service levels.
  • Conduct regular field visits to coach teams, validate execution, identify opportunities, and ensure commercial standards are consistently met.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop, coach, and inspire BA Supervisors, Beauty Advisors, and Team Leads to deliver exceptional retail execution and customer experience.
  • Strengthen team capability across commercial fundamentals, customer management, negotiation, product knowledge, and selling excellence.
  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail Operations, and other cross functional teams to successfully execute commercial initiatives and deliver business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Key Account Management, Business Development, or Commercial Management, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, or personal care.
  • Proven experience managing Watsons and modern trade accounts, Experience dealing with Leasing Departments is a plus 
  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of customer management, category management, and retail operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, shopper behavior, and commercial data to develop actionable growth strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills with experience leading Joint Business Planning.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience coaching high-performing retail teams.
  • Results-oriented with a strong bias for execution and continuous improvement.
  • Based in Manila and willing to travel regularly across Luzon.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be your client's guide from day one, with a main focus on Corporate & Travel clients, the person who makes their first weeks with the company feel effortless, not administrative
  • Understand each client's business well enough to set them up in a way that actually fits how they operate, not just how our systems are configured Catch and fix friction before the client feels it
  • Knowing your clients better than anyone else at the company
  • Be the one person your clients can call who already knows their history, their preferences, and what matters to them. No re-explaining, no hand-offs
  • Run regular check-ins that are worth the client's time, not status updates, but a genuine read on how things are going and what could be better
  • Spot when a client is quietly struggling before they have to complain about it
  • Making things right when they go wrong
  • Take full ownership of complaints and disputes for your clients: investigate properly, resolve them, and communicate in a way that leaves the client feeling looked after, not processed
  • Be proactive about bad news. Clients should hear it from you before they have to ask
  • Handle escalations yourself wherever you can. The goal is your clients never have to go around you to get something fixed
  • Helping clients get more out of the company
  • Look for chances to make the relationship more valuable, not just less painful: new routes, better service fit, smoother processes for their team
  • Bring the client's voice back into the company. If something about our product or process is making their life harder, that's information the business needs

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

  • +2 years in client services, account management, or client-facing operations, this is a strong second or third role for someone who wants to grow into account management (travel, mobility, or service industry a plus)
  • You build real relationships, clients remember you, not just your resolution time
  • Genuinely curious about how your clients' businesses work, so you can anticipate what they need
  • Comfortable switching between relationship work and fast, first-line ticket triage without losing quality on either
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English; confident and calm handling sensitive situations
  • Able to prioritize across a portfolio, knowing which relationships need attention before they ask for it

Work Setup: Full onsite on 1st month (training), Hybrid eventually (3x onsite per week)

 Work Schedule: Mid-shift (11am - 8pm or 10am - 7pm)
