Job Description
Oversee the implementation of the company’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Programs and manage the operations of the plant clinic to ensure immediate medical assistance, first-aid treatment, and routine health checks are provided to all employees and officers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Programs and ensure compliance with regulations mandated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other relevant agencies.
- Regularly review existing health and safety programs and recommend updates or improvements when necessary.
- Ensure the factory clinic is clean, well-maintained, and always prepared to respond to accidents or medical needs.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment in the clinic.
- Administer first-aid treatment to employees in case of injury.
- Provide medical services and dispense over-the-counter or prescribed medicines from accredited medical practitioners.
- Conduct or supervise medical laboratory tests to assess employees’ physical fitness, recommend appropriate actions, and prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
- Lead awareness campaigns and training sessions on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
- Offer health counseling and guidance to employees.
- Maintain, update, and monitor confidential medical records, reports, and treatment histories of employees.
- Oversee HMO enrollment and renewals for all employees.
- Prepare and submit occupational safety and health reports to Top Management and government agencies.
- Conduct home or hospital visits to follow up on employees with injuries or prolonged sick leave.
- Respond promptly to emergencies in the factory clinic or facilitate transfer of employees to hospitals for further treatment.
- Ensure that the company ambulance is fully equipped with necessary medical tools and supplies at all times.
- Provide administrative support to Human Resources and General Affairs functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be a Registered Nurse.
- You must have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience. Prior nursing experience in an industrial or corporate setting is an advantage.
- You must have an OHNAP Training Certificate. An EPA returnee is an advantage.
- You must have good verbal communication skills in English and preferably be able to speak Japanese.
- You must be knowledgeable in administering first-aid treatment.
- You must be familiar with MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Schedule: Regular shift (8am – 5pm)
Work Setup: Onsite - Sto. Tomas, Batangas (FPIP)
