Job Description

The Product Manager (PM) oversees the marketing operations for the assigned division, focusing on the development, execution, and accountability of operational plans to optimize profitability, market share, and revenue growth for the brands, both in the short and long term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
You will: 

  • Develop brand strategies for therapies and products, including promotional campaigns and tactical plans within allocated marketing budgets.
  • Conduct market research and gather insights to anticipate and respond to market trends and developments.
  • Execute, monitor, and analyze agreed tactical plans to ensure brand growth and market penetration.
  • Leverage digital and virtual tools/platforms effectively, providing training to the team to master these resources.
  • Lead local and global brand teams, including coordinating Integrated Product Strategy Plans and ensuring objectives are met.
  • Develop promotional activities aligned with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Code of Conduct guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage brand budgets, forecasts, and expenses, evaluating the marketing mix to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal results.
  • Identify market opportunities and insights through customer interactions and execute both centralized and regional marketing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Support the Division Head and Country Management during annual and semi-annual meetings and contribute to organizational corporate programs.
  • Assist the Division Head in building a robust portfolio for the division.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key national and regional medical societies, patient groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement corporate equity programs to enhance brand and corporate presence.
  • Monitor business performance and external market conditions using appropriate tools, taking corrective actions to achieve business objectives and growth.
  • Accurately manage brand budgets and evaluate expenditures.
  • Create digital tools for internal teams, customers, and patient education/engagement.
  • Manage external agencies, vendors, and suppliers to meet team objectives effectively.
  • Oversee all aspects of a key brand or components of a priority brand, including launching new campaigns, line extensions, and commercial programs within relevant therapeutic segments.
  • Lead successful new product launches to strengthen market position.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

  • You must be a bachelor’s degree holder in Business Management, Marketing, Nursing, Pharmacy or equivalent
  • You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry, 2 years of which as a Product Manager with a proven track record
  • You must have a proven track record in sales in the same/similar industry
  • You must have good communication and negotiation skills
  • You must be adaptable to new environments, have strong leadership skills and be a team player
  • You must have market intelligence, business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
  • You must have the ability to lead, inspire and work well with sales team & other stakeholders
