Job Description
The Senior Microbiologist will lead microbiological evaluations in a laboratory accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. This position involves overseeing testing procedures for food, water, and environmental samples, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to the development of microbiology-related processes and protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Supervise and manage microbiological testing operations in alignment with DOH and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Develop and implement procedures for microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 17025 guidelines.
- Oversee safety practices in the laboratory, promoting adherence to microbiological and safety protocols.
- Train and mentor team members on laboratory practices and ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to conduct microbiological evaluations of food, water, and environmental samples.
- Conduct research and maintain documentation to support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver reports based on microbiological findings and evaluations.
- Manage laboratory schedules, adapting to varying shifts and operational demands.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be a bachelor’s degree holder in Microbiology and must be a Registered Microbiologist
- You must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in microbiological evaluations in accredited laboratories.
- You must have expertise in creating and revising laboratory procedures.
- You must be proficient in microbiology and safety laboratory practices, including GMP, GLP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 17025.
