Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing asset protection for the organization, including managing security inventories, ensuring the safety of workers and customers, and preventing theft. It involves developing, implementing, and enforcing security protocols and procedures, maintaining order and peace, and directing the overall operation of security personnel and officials.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Creates, reviews and prepares documents pertaining to security, such as incident reports, corporate plans, and tactical or strategic initiatives.
  2. Establishes budgets for security operations, plans security high-risk events, analyzes financial reports to assure the effectiveness and caliber of security operations, and initiates orders for security-related supplies and equipment as necessary.
  3. Works and coordinates with the fire department, police enforcement, and other agencies to coordinate security operations or activities as deemed necessary. Attend meetings, professional seminars, or conferences to stay up-to-date on any changes to executive legislative directives or emerging technology that may have an impact on security operations and to help with emergency management and contingency planning.
  4. Creates or implements security standards, policies, and procedures, conducts, supports, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes.
  5. Analyzes and evaluates security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
  6. Prepares reports and delivers presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of rules, policies, and procedures.
  7. Recommends security procedures for security call centers, operations centers, domains, asset classification systems, systems for acquiring, developing, maintaining, and controlling access to information and reporting tools.
  8. Ensures compliance with internal security rules, licensing requirements, or relevant government security requirements, policies, and directives, and monitors security policies, programs, or procedures.
  9. Collects and evaluates security data to identify security requirements, security program objectives, or program successes; supervises subordinate security professionals by hiring, training, allocating tasks, assessing their performance, or enforcing discipline as necessary.
  10. Ensures that all plantwide facilities is in conformity with security policies and regulations, conduct physical inspections of it; communicates security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
  11. Organize or carries out executive protection measures. Follow emergency response protocols when dealing with medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or incursion alarms.
  12. Plans, oversees, or coordinates security operations to protect company assets, personnel, visitors, or other individuals on company property.
  13. Serves as liaison for the peace and order with the outside group/elements.
