Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:

General Accounting and Reporting:

  • Provide support to the Group Accountants with Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and credit card recharges.
  • Prepare and post month end journals (prepayments, accruals, AASB 16 etc) for various entities.
  • Prepare of balance sheet reconciliations for various entities.
  • Reconcile accounting FAR vs tax FAR for various entities.
  • Prepare bank facility compliance calculation and certificate.
  • Update Cash flow analysis on fortnightly basis.
  • Assist with finance cost forecast.
  • Assist with auditor queries on half year review/full year audit.
  • Assist with the preparation of half year/year end financial statements.

Taxation:

  • Assist with monthly tax provision / deferred tax calculations and journals.
  • Prepare of monthly Business Activity Statements.
  • Assist with preparation and lodgment of tax compliance documents (income tax return, payroll tax, Fringe Benefits Tax etc).

Intercompany:

  • Liaise with venue accountants on month end reporting and intercompany recharges.
  • Prepare of elimination journals for various consolidation entities.
  • Prepare of intercompany reconciliations for various entities.

Lease accounting:

  • Manage internal/external leases through lease management software (Nomos One).
  • Generate periodic rental invoices and recharge of outgoings to lessee.
  • Assist with AASB16 lease accounting entries for half year / year end.

Other:

  • Assist with the coordination of annual insurance renewal information.
  • Assist with ASIC and company secretary tasks as required.
  • Assist with other reporting requirements of team where required (Payment Times Reporting Scheme, etc).
  • Assist with keeping track of new unit allotment and redemptions as per external reports.
  • Assist with information requests for independent valuations.
  • Assist with information requests for insurance renewals .
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience in general accounting and financial reporting (including consolidations).
  • Preparing month end and year end closing journal entries.

 

Work Set-Up: Hybrid 1 day WFH, 4 days onsite
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5am/6am/7am (Australia shift)
