Job Description

The Media Head (ATL & Digital Media) is responsible for developing and executing a strategic, innovative, and performance-driven media plan across Above-the-Line (ATL) and Digital channels. This role ensures the brand’s media investments deliver maximum ROI while keeping the company at the forefront of media innovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes, possess a passion for experimenting with emerging platforms, and lead a team that thrives on data-driven decisions and creative excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute an integrated media strategy across ATL (TV, Radio, Print, OOH, Cinema) and Digital Media (Social, Search, Display, Programmatic, Video, Influencer Marketing, etc.).
  • Lead the research, identification, and implementation of emerging media trends, technologies, and platforms.
  • Ensure media strategies are aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative, PR, Brand, and Data Analytics) to deliver holistic marketing campaigns.

Innovation & Experimentation

  • Drive a culture of experimentation in media planning by constantly testing new platforms, formats, and ad technologies.
  • Establish relationships with media partners, startups, and technology firms to gain early access to beta programs and new ad solutions.
  • Evaluate and pilot AI-driven media buying, personalization, and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Leverage emerging technologies such as AR/VR, voice search, and connected TV for innovative brand activations.

Budgeting & ROI Optimization

  • Develop, allocate, and manage media budgets across ATL and digital channels.
  • Continuously optimize media spend through data-driven insights and performance analysis.
  • Establish benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success.
  • Negotiate with media vendors, agencies, and technology providers to secure the best rates and value.

Media Buying & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end media buying and execution across ATL and digital platforms.
  • Ensure seamless media placements and creative adaptations for different formats and channels.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies and vendors to drive best-in-class execution.
  • Implement data-driven audience targeting strategies for precision media buying.

Performance Monitoring & Analytics

  • Implement robust measurement frameworks for tracking the effectiveness of media campaigns.
  • Analyze and report on media performance, ensuring continuous learning and optimization.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, DSP platforms, and Media Mix Modeling to measure impact.
  • Stay ahead of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and ensure media strategies comply with evolving standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of media planners, buyers, and analysts.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by ensuring continuous learning and development within the team.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to align media efforts with business goals.

Partnerships & Collaboration

  • Establish strong relationships with media agencies, publishers, and platform representatives.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure media plans are executed with engaging and impactful storytelling.
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to support revenue-generating media strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, buying, and strategy across ATL and digital media.
  • Strong understanding of media landscapes, trends, and emerging platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and experiment with new media formats.
  • Expertise in performance marketing, data analytics, and audience targeting.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in media planning tools such as Nielsen, ComScore, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, DSPs, and programmatic platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving media environment.
