Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Adhere to company’s Test Strategy
- Assist the Test Lead in Test Planning (as required)
- Provide progress updates/reports to Test Lead
- Mentoring and Coaching Junior Test Analysts and Test Analysts
- Conduct reviews of test cases and test scripts created by Junior Test Analysts and Test Analysts
- Design and create test cases and test scripts
- Execute (manual or automated) tests following the designed test cases
- Analyse the application’s behaviour while executing the test cases and capture evidences as needed for further analysis
- Detect defects, identify the root cause and resolve defects in a timely manner
- Log and follow-up defects in Jira
- Support Developers in understanding defects and retest defects once they are fixed
- Ensure correct status of tickets, test cycle executions and tasks are up-to-date and in line with existing processes and workflows
- Take ownership of the overall progress of tasks under own responsibility
- Participate in day-to-day QA activities
- Attain good knowledge of company automation tools and procedures for their execution
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
- Record test results using appropriate tools
- Identify ways to improve the testing experience and improve efficiencies
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Business and IT or an equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Testing
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- An assertive and diplomatic personality
- Ability to prioritize work
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Quality driven with attention to detail
- Good knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Testing Concepts
- Good knowledge of testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Jenkins etc.
- Good knowledge on SQL and database
- Knowledge on test automation
- ISTQB certification is preferred
- Previous experience in the Payment Industry
Work Schedule: Dayshift (8am-5pm)
Work Setup: Hybrid (3x onsite per week)
